After officially launching in Vietnam, Realme 5i is still a part of rumours and leaks in other countries like India and China. The new budget but gorgeously designed smartphone went live in Vietnam on Monday and it’s most likely to hit Indian shores on Thursday 9th of January 2020.

The smartphone has already spotted in India’s BIS as well as Wi-Fi Alliance certification platforms and now appeared again ahead of its official launch. The Realme 5i is a slightly watered-down version of already released Realme 5 with a quad-camera configuration outback – includes wide-angle, and macro sensors. Thanks to the latest Realme 5i rumours and leaks, we will be holding a phone with a massive 5000mAh non-removable battery and a gigantic 6.52-inches display alongside a waterdrop-like notch on the front to sport a front-facing camera. The rumours also indicated that 5i will be boasting a 4GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 Chipset.

Release Date and Price

The Realme 5i has already started hitting shelves in Vietnam and it’s all set to be released officially in India on Thursday 9th of January 2020. When will other countries have 5i in their stores? It’s something we are short on words on, for now.

The smartphone set users back VND 3,690,000 in Vietnam that comes to $158 (INR 11500) after conversion for its base variant – 3GB + 32GB. As far as its top-tier variant 4GB with 64GB goes for VND 4,290,000 (INR 13500) which after conversion comes to around $184. Whenever it hit stores in India, one will be able to pick it up in a choice of two sensational colours – Green and Blue.

Realme 5i Specs, Leaked Renders and Rumours

Relying completely on render images of Realme 5i, it doesn’t look too much different from its elder brother Realme 5 smartphone. Thanks to the latest and advanced technology adopted by smartphone brands, we are surprised almost every day with coolest and astonishingly designed smartphones and interestingly Realme 5i is no different.

Calling Realme 5i as one of the best Next Generation Smartphones wouldn’t be wrong as it’s holding up a quad-camera setup on its rear, positioned vertically on the top left corner of the phone. The setup consists of a 12MP primary sensor, partnered with an 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP and 2MP other sensors. And as for a front, Realme 5i sports an 8MP selfie snapper – positioned in a waterdrop-like notch.

The rumours and leaks further claim that Realme 5i will house an enormous 6.5-inches display with a price tag to be lesser as compared to its elder brother Realme 5. Well, expecting an HD+ panel for Realme 5i wouldn’t be wrong. Besides, it’ll arrive in two different configurations to choose from – 3GB with 32GB and 4GB with 64GB internal storage but we are out of words whether or not it supports an external microSD card. Onto battery, Realme 5i is rumoured to be powered by a whopping 5000mAh battery with standard charging. There is no confirmation about its fingerprint scanner but according to render images, it’s likely to hold position outback in the center of the phone.

Things are pretty blurred in terms of Realme 5i operating system but it’s most likely to run on Android Pie 9.0 alongside ColorOS on top. The ColorOS has already been announced and on its way toward existing smartphones by Realme. But again, Thursday 9th of January 2020 is not an official confirmation for Realme 5i – therefore, it’s too difficult to say when will it be launched and hit stores across India and other countries.

And there you have it – Realme 5i, based on its rumoured onboard components and entirely-baked features, seems to be greatest smartphone one would have. As nothing is official yet – therefore leaving final remarks will be too prompt. Let’s wait for a couple of days more and see what it dishes out for its audience.
